IMPACT STRATEGY

This service includes the creation of a Theory of Change, KPI development and measurement plan.

The work begins by taking a step back, engaging stakeholders and creating a collaborative Theory of Change that tells the story of the business/organization. Next, research is conducted to create a suite of KPIs that map to the Theory of Change and create a pathway to understanding the impact of the organization. Once KPIs are decided upon, a measurement plan is created complete with data collection method, suggested research questions, stakeholder group and cadence of measurement. The organization/business is then briefed and trained on the plan to continue forward on the measurement journey.

KPI DEVELOPMENT

Already have a Logic Model or Theory of Change in place and ready to start to track your progress towards intended outcomes and goals? Now is the right time to develop Key Performance indicators (KPIs).

For this service, I will work directly with you and your team to develop KPIs that map to industry, regional and international standards (GRI, SDGs, TNFD, etc) and most importantly link the KPIs to your strategy and the outcomes you need to measure. If desired I can facilitate a session to determine your priority KPIs and put together a measurement plan on how to gather the KPI data and make use of it.

THEORY OF CHANGE CREATION

Creating a Theory of Change allows an organization/business to tell its story including the vision, purpose, stakeholders, activities, outputs, outcomes, impact and assumptions.

The Theory of Change is a collaborative process that includes the creation of a focus group within the organization and the involvement of various stakeholders to best understand the impact the organization/business has on its key stakeholders. The outcome is a written and visual Theory of Change that can be used to communicate the story of the organization/business and importantly can be used to make strategic decisions, better products/services and used as a blueprint for measuring performance and impact.

MEASUREMENT & evaluation

Put your impact strategy into action with a strong, innovative plan to measure, evaluate and report on your work.

Once a strategic plan is in place whether it be for an entire business/organization or a project, the next step is to test it with measurement and evaluation. My approach to measurement is practical and innovative. Measurement methods vary and will be chosen based on resources available, stakeholder needs and KPIs being measured. The data analysis will be delivered along with summary information to share across the organization/business and steps to embed into your work after you engage with me. This service can be accompanied by a facilitated retrospective and learning session to reflect and act on the data collected.

CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT

Whether it be an in-house workshop for employees, community-focused webinar, weekend-long retreat, continued education credited training, undergraduate credited course or graduate-level credited program, I can create an impact-focused, interactive curriculum (virtual, hybrid or in-person) for any stakeholder, at any knowledge level.

Topics for the curriculum can include impact economy, impact measurement and management, stakeholder mapping, creating an impact-focused strategy, KPI development, innovative measurement methods, creating an environmental strategy, using AI for conservation, culture innovation, etc.

TRAINING & FACILITATION

I can plan and conduct training for any of the stakeholders, on any of the topics outlined in the curriculum development service. I can also assist with embedding the training into onboarding and internal policies.
